Support for Vulnerable Patients

There is support available for shielded patients and for other patients who are at risk and require enhanced social and other support as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Merton Local Authority is also directly receiving lists of shielded patients and is contacting them to identify their support needs.

The information below describes support services for shielded and other vulnerable patients.

Merton COVID-19 Community Response Hub (MVSC – Merton Voluntary Service Council)

MVSC is working with the voluntary sector to support isolated households and those at risk from COVID-19. People may be supported in relation to areas such as:

  • Shopping/parcel delivery
  • Dog walking
  • Electricity/gas pre-payment card top-up
  • A telephone call or keeping in touch
  • Posting letters
